The consultation appointment typically involves three stages:
Photographic Records and Digital Scans: We take photographs and a digital scan of your child’s teeth to gain a comprehensive understanding of their dental needs. This assists Dr Wei with forming the treatment plan as we can often identify issues from these records.
X-ray Assessment: Dr Wei will carefully analyse x-rays to evaluate the number and positioning of baby and adult teeth, as well as the relative positions of the upper and lower jaws. This step provides essential insights into the existing dental and skeletal structures, guiding the subsequent treatment plan.
Clinical Examination and Discussion: The final step is a comprehensive examination and discussion with Dr Wei. The examination allows us to assess their teeth, gums, facial shape, and bite prior to discussing treatment options. During the discussion, we can go through any concerns you or your child may have and devise an appropriate treatment approach for your child.
An orthodontic consultation with Dr Wei typically lasts 60 minutes. To secure your preferred appointment slot, we recommend booking well in advance. During the consultation, Dr Wei will provide you with an estimate of expected costs associated with treatment, the time treatment will take, and when the most appropriate time for starting treatment would be.
